Product Features
Keep your space free of pests for maximum guest comfort with this Lavex Zap N Trap outdoor insect trap bug zapper! This insect trap provides exceptional bug-killing protection over an average 1 1/2 acre area and comes with 2 powerful 15W black light ultraviolet bulbs that are safe for humans and pets. The bulbs attract insects that are zapped on electrically charged, high-voltage metal grids that won't clog and are protected by an outer mesh. The pests are collected in an easy-glide tray that pulls out for quick emptying and highly effective, sanitary insect control. This item features an ABS plastic body that won't rust, crack, or fade and is designed to meet IPX4 waterproof rating standards which makes it ideal for outdoor areas like patios, decks, and concession areas as well as factories, hospitals, offices, or warehouses. It also includes hardware for simple, unobtrusive mounting. The coverage area varies depending on the layout of the space, how much traffic the area receives, and the number of insects in the area.
For best results, do not place the zapper in an area with bright lighting as other light sources will draw the bugs' attention. Designed to kill flying pests, this mess-, fume-, and smell-free light trap is a perfect solution for commercial entryways, loading docks, and outdoor areas where pests can be a problem. This unit is not recommended for use in food prep areas. Each bulb contains a chemical coating that maximizes the UV light it transmits. To maintain the bulb's coating and the trap's optimum effectiveness, replace bulbs every 9-12 months, ideally at the beginning of spring. This unit's tray should be emptied and cleaned every week (see instructions for maintenance tips). It requires a 120V electrical connection for operation.
