This unit comes with a coarse particulate pre-filter to prevent the buildup of lint, hair, dust, and other large debris, which helps protect the motor and heating element and extend the unit's lifespan. It's also equipped with a HEPA filter to capture at least 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, bacteria, mold, and other airborne contaminants. The filter should be replaced every 3-6 months. In high-traffic areas, the filter should be replaced closer to every 3 months for optimum performance.
